Article Background

Creation Research published a review of the book ‘Creation Unfolding’ in October 2021, after being approached by several independent people who asked us what we thought of the book. This review was published on the ‘Ask John Mackay’ website, along with an in-depth review, written by John Mackay and Dr Diane Eager, supported by the rest of the Creation Research team.

Since our original review was published we have found further issues that needed to be addressed and have written a further review. The background to this further review (and why it was necessary) and the new review itself are set out in another PDF document, authored by John Mackay (International Director of Creation Research), Joseph Hubbard (Director of Creation Research UK) and Dr Diane Eager (Creation Research), supported by the Creation Research team and other advisors.

The Life, Faith, and Impact of Queen Elizabeth II

By Joseph Hubbard

With Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral happening later today, many people have asked Creation Research to give their opinion on her majesty, the monarchy in general, and her Christian faith, as well as the future of the monarchy, as it continues with King Charles III. So, what I thought I’d do, is run through a few different issues. Obviously, as a Brit, the death of the Queen is quite significant, as it is for many of our viewers in other members of the Commonwealth, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, for example. But for our viewers in the States, when they hear that the monarchy’s role is ‘ceremonial’, then often hear ‘redundant’ or ‘useless’. So I’d like to briefly run through the role of the monarchy for the UK and the commonwealth, before moving on to the Queen’s apparent faith and the future.

To begin with, the United Kingdom, as well as the commonwealth countries are not strictly democracies, they are Constitutional Monarchies, which oversee a Parliamentary Democracy.   However, it is important to understand the actual role that the monarchy plays when it comes to governing a country. The queen had nothing to do with the theology of the Church of England, and she had nothing to do with the policies of the British government. The monarchy hasn’t functioned this way for over 400 years. Their role is not theological or political, it is ceremonial – but that is not to say they are useless adornments or redundant individuals.

Instead, the monarchy provides a genuine stability in a time of chaos and turmoil, it is the core point of unity during a time of political division, and it holds to a history during an era that has lost its foundations – all of which is essential for the health of a nation, none more so when all these things are under attack. When everything is political, everything is divisive – which you can clearly see in the United States right now. In the UK, we are extremely blessed to have an apolitical, stabilising, and unifying institution at its core. Many Americans are quick to point out that they are also not a democracy, but a constitutional republic. I admire the US political system – to a point. But when it comes down to it, I would far prefer a Constitutional Monarchy, which provides a state of unity between political parties and the common man, something that has proven to be key to the longevity of this nation. And at the end of the day, Monarchy is the most successful and longest lasting form of government.

The following is a very helpful quote from Dr Jenny Taylor, which gives a bigger perspective:

“For the monarchy, EMBODIMENT, not representation, is the point. Members of Parliament may REPRESENT those who elected them. They embody very little. The monarch, on the other hand, represents no one. But he/she, whether saint or sinner, embodies in his/her constitutional presence everything we have: the rights and freedoms conferred on the people by the God under whom he/she serves. There is a higher power to whom the monarch is answerable, and of whose loving impartiality he/she is a sign…The coronation is.. a symbol… of the world’s oldest and only global narrative: God’s story. It goes all the way back to the crowning of Edgar by St. Dunstan in AD 973, drawing, it is said, an on even older Frankish ceremony. It takes place in Westminster Cathedral, the national shrine. The oath is administered by the highest clergyman in the land. His office takes precedence even over the monarch himself…Then, in the even more amazing rite of unction that stretches in one unbroken line from the anointing of Solomon by Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet in the Hebrew Bible, the king is anointed with oil under a gold awning in a ceremony of the utmost holiness. The archbishop hands him the symbols of his rule: “Receive this orb set under the cross and remember that the whole world is subject to the power and empire of Christ our redeemer.” It is THIS that is the radioactive heart of Britain’s monarchy, and the secret of its strength. It is both a protection against tyranny and a remedy for weakness. For, long forgotten by secular pundits, it models itself on the Christian belief that authority is what it is because it has been CRUCIFIED; that only Christ the servant king is truly powerful, and because all are fallen, all can be restored only through him.”

Now, with that in mind, let’s turn to the Queen’s Christian faith. Scripture tells us there are two things that indicate a true faith in Christ: one’s word of testimony, and one’s fruit. To start with her testimony, it is important to note that despite the continuing degression of the Christian Faith over the last 70 years and the increasing secularisation of the nation, the Queen’s message and testimony has remained remarkably consistent. Sometimes even more so than many so-called pastors and church leaders! She claimed throughout her reign that it was Jesus Christ that was her source of strength, wisdom, and faith. She once said: “History teaches us that we need saving from ourselves, from our recklessness and our greed. God sent into the world neither a philosopher nor a general, but a saviour with the power to forgive.” She stated that it was Jesus himself, as well as His teachings that have been the bedrock of her faith. And she certainly appeared to act upon this faith. One of my favourite stories comes from a minister of a church that she attended. He was preaching on the second coming of Christ and reported that after the service the Queen came up to him and declared that she would so love for Christ to return during her time on earth. When he inquired as to why she felt that way, she said with pure joy, “Because I would love to cast my crown at His feet.” From all appearances, it would certainly seem that Elizabeth II, even as Queen, believed, served and bowed to the living God.

Obviously, the subject of her salvation is purely between her and God. It would certainly seem from her life and testimony that she believed, and one thing is for certain, she is in God’s hands now. But what about prayer? Should we pray for the Queen and her salvation, now that she has passed? Scripture is clear that it is appointed once to die, and then face the judgement. Our prayers can do nothing now – there is no purgatory, no second chance after death. The Queen will be judged by a holy and righteous God, and as a sinner she would be found guilty – if it wasn’t for Christ’s redeeming power. As I’ve already stated, my personal conviction is that she knew this power personally, as I do, and I look forward to meeting her one day.

So who or what should we pray for? I have two suggestions. The first is the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. Now, he is certainly not without criticism (and I would be the first to criticise much of his doctrine and teaching), but I don’t believe that time is now. Very shortly, he will stand in front of the largest audience of all time, open his Bible, and preach a sermon. Such an opportunity is unprecedented and is not to be wasted.

The temptation for him to pander to the ‘woke’ and multi-faith philosophy will be immense, as will be the temptation to sound learned and intelligent. But my prayer is that the Spirit speaks through him, and his message is one of simplicity – that he preaches Christ crucified for the redemption of sins.

My second suggestion for prayer? King Charles III. He is certainly on record saying some questionable things about the Christian faith, but then again he has said some rather brilliant things on the future of faith and freedom. He got a lot of bad rep as Prince of Wales, some of it justified, much of it not. One thing is certain through, he does not have a faith like his mother had. Whether he believes or not, is between him and the Holy Spirit. Despite this, we know that it is God who has appointed him King, as it tells us in Romans 13, and we are called to pray for our leaders. That God would give them wisdom, that He would humble them before Him, and set them on a path that is straight. That is why this afternoon, as I sing the National Anthem, it shall be a genuine prayer to the Lord when I call out the words, “God Save the King!”

Research trip Report.

A two week research trip to the famous Jurassic Coast, in Dorset, UK has revealed many interesting and thought-provoking fossils. At Monmouth BeacSlide3h, Lyme Regis, we visited the “Ammonite Pavement”. This is a layer of limestone protruding out of the cliff at ground level, over a massive area, which is full (and I mean FULL) of ammonites and nautilus’. This is clearly Flood evidence, as there are so many ammonites in one     area, with no apparent reason for death. Also bear in mind that the pavement is just one of the layers of limestone. There are up to 30 that we counted above ground level, going up the cliff, and many more under the ground, all full of fossils. This is a fossil grave yard! Nautilus’are also a “living fossil” – alive today and unchanged for a supposed 195 million years – no eSlide1volution!

Exciting finds were the more unusual fossils of the marine reptile Ichthyosaur. We found vertebrae and sections of the lower jaw – a small portion of the hundreds of individuals that have been found throughout the Jurassic Coast. We also popped into the Slide2Heritage Centre in Charmouth to see the Scelidosaurus dinosaur fossil found at there. Although I couldn’t take a photo of it, for ownership reasons, notice the sign on the wall about the fossil’s burial gives excellent evidence for the Flood!

We also visited Burton Bradstock, another fossil graveyard of ammonites, gastropods, bivalves, and brachiopods. This formation was clearly formed rapidly and catastrophically as the bivalves (cockles, clams) have been buried alive – their shells have been fossilised closed. An exciting winter project as many of these still need cleaning up!

In total we collected over 9 crates of fossils, all showing evidence for the Flood, each with its own story and evidence, which collectively, make an overwhelming case for the global Flood of Noah.

The second part of our South coast research trip took us to the Isle of Wight (IoW), the home of Britain’s dinosaurs! This is the best dinosaur fossil location in Europe, and the sixth best location in the world, with over twenty different species found here. All dinosaur finds are found in the Wealden formation – a soft clay-like rock. The secular interpretation for the origin of this formation is somewhat intriguing. Apparently, according to a popular field guide of the geology of the IoW, the formation formed on what is known as the Wealden Floodplain. This was a big basin into which large floods washed sediment, burying and fossilising creatures living there.  Even the secular interpretation is in support of a large catastrophic flood.

Extreme evidence ofossilstumpf this is found at the Hanover Point Fossil Forest. This is a large ‘jumbled mess’ of prostrate fossil logs, clearly washed in and dumped at their current location before being buried and fossilised. Just beyond the fossil forest are several dinosaur footprint trackways, again, evidence for a catastrophic burial, as footprints don’t last long under normal conditions.Presentation1

Above the Wealden formation is another flood wash-in. It is a hard, thin limestone layer chocka-block full of shells, coprolite (fossilised dung), bone, and even pterosaur (flying reptile) teeth, one of which we found. Another interesting feature were the ripple marks in this layer. They were formed by the action of the water on soft sediment, then buried and preserved. This is clearly rapid burial!

One of our most exciting finds was an Iguanodon rib fragment. The exciting part was that it had been fractured and healed while the dinosaur was still alive. The lump on the bone shows where the extra bone has grown as it was healing. Theistic evolutionists claim that dinosaurs lived millions of years before man. However, the Bible clearly states that suffering is a result of man’s sin. Broken bones are very painful, especially if not treated. This dinosaur clearly went through a lot of pain. How then, could this dinosaur have suffered millions of years before mankind existed if pain and suffering came after man was created? This only makes sense within a literal interpretation of Genesis; that pain and suffering only came after sin, so dinosaurs lived alongside man, therefore – no millions of years! Theistic evolutionists claim to respect God’s Word, however they completely undermine it from the beginning.

In the words of the man who began the reformation, “It is not true, as several heretics and other vulgar persons allege, that God created everything in the beginning, and then let nature take its own independent course, so that all things now spring into being of their own power; thereby they put God on a level with a shoemaker or a tailor. This not only contradicts scripture, but it runs counter to experience. When Moses writes that God created Heaven and Earth and whatever is in them in six days, then let this period continue to have been six days, and do not venture to devise any comment according to which six days were one day. But, if you cannot understand how this could have been done in six days, then grant the Holy Spirit the honour of being more learned than you are.” – Martin Luther.

How true the words of this man are! Let us not undermine the true Word of God, but stand strong on its firm foundation!

Fast Fossil Facts!

image

Sitting along the West Norfolk Coast are the magnificent Hunstanton Cliffs. Despite the fact that they are not very large, as some cliffs come, they have still earned the title of the 7th best geologic location in the UK1. The reason for this is the unusual type of rocks that are found there. As you can see from the photo of the cliffs, they are rather beautiful to look at. The cliffs are made up of three main rocks layers. The bottom brown layer is a coarse sandstone with fairly large pebbles in it, called carstone. The next layer is red chalk, or the Hunstanton Formation. This is quite a distinctive feature of Hunstanton, and is red due to its iron-rich content, so it is basically rusty2. The third and last layer is the grey chalk. The two chalk layers are very rich in fossils, and there is one fossil in particular that we will focus on in this report.

First, however, we need to look at how this chalk was supposed to form, according to secular geologists. Chalk is mainly comprised of microscopic creatures called coccolithophores. These creatures have shells called coccoliths. These make up the bulk of the chalk. They are supposed to accumulate into a lime-mud, gunge, very slowly on a seabed. This is then supposed to harden into the chalk cliffs that we see today. All this is supposed to take a very long time3. These vast periods of time are incompatible with the Biblical record of Noah’s Flood. Many have suggested that the chalk cliffs have done away with the Biblical flood, because of the large time-scale4. However there are several things that we can see at Hunstanton that challenge this.

In October 2014, John Mackay led a field trip to Hunstanton5. On this trip, he discovered a very special fossil, but it was too large to collect on the day. I then went back a few weeks later, and retrieved it, cleaned it up, and it now is heimageld in the Genesis Museum of Creation. It is an extinct squid-like creature called a belemnite, approximately 5cm (2 inches) long. But can you see the problem?

The cliffs are supposedly dated at 108 million years at the bottom, and 99 million years at the top6. This covers a period of 10 million years. The cliffs are approx. 20 metres, or 60 feet at the tallest point. Therefore it took 10 million years to lay down 20 metres of rock, or you could put it as 20,000mm in 10 million years. This also means, if we do a bit of simple math, 2mm of rock took 1,000 years to lay down. Half that, and you get 1mm per 500 years. The problem comes when you realise that the belemnite is approx. 5cm (2 inches) long. At this rate, it would take 18,750 years to bury the belemnite! This is clearly ludicrous! The belemnite was before it dissolved or disintegrated. And it gets worse. If you look very carefully you can see the layers in the rock. The belemnite crosses many layers of sediment. This is what we call ‘polystrate’, poly meaning ‘many’, strate meaning ‘strata’, or layers. There is no way that this could have been deposited over a vast period of time. This fossil was buried before it fell over so it had to be fossilised very quickly.

This belemnite, as well as this brachiopod (seashell) that was also found at Hunstanton, are both polystrates, and are great eimagevidence that it would have taken a huge watery catastrophe to lay such a vast amount of sediment down in a short enough amount of time to actually fossilise these creatures. Noah’s flood has not been ruled out by these strata at all. You can trust the Bible on any topic, creation, the flood etc.! It is God’s very own message to mankind. It explains the sin than man is caught up in. The very same sin that caused God to judge the world with the Global Flood. But just as God provided a way to escape the Flood, the Ark, He has also provided a way for us to escape the destructive power of sin. He Himself came down to the Earth, as the man Jesus, and lived a sinless life, before dying on a cross to take the sins that you have ever committed or ever will commit, and will grant you everlasting life. All you need to do is confess that you are a sinner, repent, which means to turn around from the sinful life that you are living, and take the amazing free gift of eternal life that God has paid for!

Buried Alive!! Crocodiles found in phosphate give evidence to the Biblical Flood.

Morocco iimages one of the best places in the world for fossils and one of the best places in Morocco is the Kem Kem Basin, Khouribga. Especially for aquatic fossils, The Kem Kem basin is a massive bone bed made up of mineral phosphates (usually derived from bone) and it is the largest phosphorite bed known in the world. One palaeontologist described the fossils in it as, “Hundreds of times more abundant than a normal marine sediment” (italics mine) 1.

My comment is why not suggest then that perhaps it wasn’t laid down as a “normal marine sediment”, but in a catastrophic event that killed and buried hundreds of creatures,

far more than could ever exist in a normal present day environment 2.

Among the millions of fossils found there, one crocodile skull has been excavated, and made its way to us at the Genesis Museum of Creation near Norwich UK. There are imageseveral things that this crocodile skull can teach us.

First, look at how well preserved the skull is. Crocodile teeth do not have roots in them, as the photo of the modern crocodile tooth shows. Their teeth are designed to fall out really easily. A crocodile is always growing new teeth to replace old, worn-out ones. The new teeth grow in at the base of the old teeth, pushing the old teeth out of the jaw. To have a crocodile skull so well preserved when the large teeth are still present, is quite remarkable.

A sign in the Castle Museum in Norwich, talking about the fossilisation of living creatures has something very interesting to say. “Did you know? Fossilisation is actually very rare. In order for something to be fossilised, the remains normally need to be covered by sediment straight away.”4 However at this croc site in Morocco, we are looking at a fossil that comes from a place where imagehundreds of fossils are found, including some of the largest creatures ever to live, such as the giant mosasaur.5

To confirm such rapid burial has also occurred at our fossil site, consider the claims it took vast ages for these rocks to be formed:

The sedimentary layers where this crocodile was found are regarded as late Cretaceous (Cenomanian through Turonian), and are some 200 metres thick. The evolutionists date the top layer (Upper Marly Unit) of the croc bed at 90 Million years old, and the bottom layer (Lower Sandy Unit), at 100 million years.8

Now let’s do some maths. You have a deposit it is claimed took 10 million years to lay down. This deposit is 200 metres thick. If we divide the thickness of the deposit (200m) by the claimed time (10 Ma), we get the answer as follows:

200 metres/10,000,000 years

= 0.00002 m per yr

= 2 cm per 1,000 yrs

This means that it took 500 years for a single centimetre of sediment to be laid down, so our crocodile which has a skull 40cm (16in) long, and over 15cm (6in) high, would have taken over 7,500 years to just cover it, let alone bury it deep enough to fossilise it. This is absolutely ridiculous if you think about it.

One final point. Look at the crocodile skull. How do we know that it is a crocodile? The answer is simple? It looks like one! Here we have an animal that is from rocks that are claimed to be around 83 million years old, and yet they still are living today. They have even been found in rocks supposedly up to a 250 million years old. Evolved they have not! The crocodiles are not evolving and have not evolved! They are doing exactly what the Bible says God created them to do. “Reproducing after their own kind!”6

So what can we take away from this? First, although the assumptions of evolution and deposition of sediment over millions of years are all well and good in the universities and textbooks, they do not make sense in the real world, in fact, they are ludicrous to even consider. Secondly, the Bible’s account of a world –wide catastrophic flood7 fits with the evidence that we see in the rocks around us. The Bible teaches that God created the world in six days, and that the whole world was good. But man disobeyed God, and chose to be his own god. As a result of this rebellion, man has lived in sin from that time forward, and is destined for eternal punishment from God. But in His Great love and mercy, God provided a way for us to escape the coming judgment. He sent His only son Jesus to die on a cross, and to take the place of punishment for our sin. Jesus paid the price, and is giving it to you today as a free gift, however as with any gift that you are given, you have to be willing to receive it. Accept Jesus as your Saviour today, and be free of all your guilt and sin!

Fossil teddy bear!?!?

Have you heard that fossils take millions of years to form? Well, one of our more unusual exhibits at the Genesis Museum of Creation is challenging this assumption, and rather effectively too. Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing Rockie, our fossil teddy! DSCN8784Now then, how do we solve this dilemma? Either T’rex was a wimp who took a teddy to bed with him, which ended up being fossilised with him, OR fossils can form quickly!

Rockie was fossilised in the natural petrifying waters of Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. The water used to spray this object is 100% natural spring water with a high mineral content. The water comes out of the ground at about 72 degrees Celsius. The bear took about two weeks to form in the rock deposit known as Aragonite. It was formed by exactly the same process that is responsible for fossilising the dinosaur bones found in America and other places around the world. Though dinosaur bones are commonly thought to have “turned to stone” The original bone is still there.

Most of the early geologists believed that the Earth is young and that most of the fossils were formed 4,500 years ago during Noah’s flood. A lot of people today have, however, been indoctrinated in the idea that the earth is billions of years old, and that fossils take vast periods of time to form. They, therefore, reject the Biblical history of Creation and the Flood. This teddy bear demonstrates that fossilisation does NOT require millions of years, it just requires the right chemical and physical conditions. You can trust the Bible!

The Venus fly trap

Caleb Hubbard.

One of God’s amazing creations is the Venus fly trap. At first glance, this does not even look like a plant, more like something from the future! Venus fly traps grow in the wet, boggy parts of Carolina, as well as other parts of America.dion

But what is so amazing about this plant? Well, first, we know that humans have made mouse traps, squirrel traps, bird traps, bear traps etc. However, God has made a plant that is only a few centimetres high, with triggers, and trapdoors, so that the plant can get something to eat! You see, Venus fly traps live in bogs, where there is little nitrogen. The bugs they eat provide them with the nitrogen they need.

So God made the Venus fly trap with leaves that have two lobes at the end of the stalks. Then the two lobes have sharp spines at the end. Those lobes lay open, like the pages of a book. On each lobe there are three trigger hairs.flytrap_trig This is to save energy, for if a leaf landed on the trigger hair, the Venus fly trap would not snap shut. This is because the two hairs have to be touched within five seconds of each other. If a fly landed on the red lobes, looking for some sweet nectar, it would touch the hairs twice. Therefore, the trap slams shut. As the spines are alternate, they fit together perfectly. Slowly the Venus fly trap digests all the meaty parts of the fly. When it is done, it opens again for the wind to blow away the fly’s exoskeleton.

Now that the Venus fly trap has had breakfast, it waits for another foolish fly to come and get caught. But did you know that you were in a trap? That is, the trap of sin. Like the fly, we had no way of escape, until God sent His Son to come and die on the Cross to save us from our sins. If you accept Jesus as your Saviour, you will be free from the trap of sin.

Dinosaurs and the Bible- how do they fit?

The evolutionist’s biggest mascots are the dinosaurs. Everywhere you look, in the media, museums, schools, even picture books for toddlers, we see the unrelenting message that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. However, the Genesis Museum of Creation is bringing the Truth to the public. Did you know that;

  • Dinosaur fossils could never survive for millions of years under current conditions.
  • There is good evidence that dinosaurs were living up to a couple of hundred years ago ….and even still living today!!
  • There is evidence that dinosaurs could breathe fire! Hmm, I wonder…..
  • Dinosaurs are in the Bible. Yes, the Bible!!
  • Dinosaur fossil “graveyards” hold good evidence that they were deposited in water. Worldwide water…..Flood?
  • Dinosaurs, far from helping evolution, actually challenge the hypothesis.

So come with me, and discover the truth about these amazing creatures.

Lots (and lots) of Dinosaur fossils.

The Bible speaks of a cataclysmic global Flood around 4,500 years ago. Such was its impact that Noah and his family had to stay in the ark for over a year. Such forces would have torn up sediments and deposited them in layers. The sedimentary rocks we see are good evidence of such forces. Amongst these rocks are plenty of fossils, including dinosaur fossils. Dinosaur fossil ‘graveyards’ are found all over the world.

One such ‘mass fossil graveyard’ in Patagonia, South America, has yielded a great amount of dinosaur fossils. Some fossils are quite large, such as the  massive Gigantosaurus, however, there are some smaller dinosaurs as well. But whether big or small, the excellent preservation of these fossils is consistent with the animals perishing and being buried in the flood of Noah’s day. Sometimes we even find hundreds of  fossils, such as Hadrosaur dinosaurs, buried in huge herds over a small area. This does not happen under usual circumstances.

The Bible talks about Dinosaurs!!

Some people object that the Bible doesn’t talk about dinosaurs. But it does talk about dinosaurs, it just doesn’t mention the name ‘dinosaur’. And for good reason too. The KJV, was written in 1611, but the word “dinosaur” wasn’t invented until 1841, by Richard Owen. So what were dinosaurs called before they were called “dinosaurs”? Dragons. Yes, dragons! Think about it for a minute. All around the world there are ancient  stories about beasts that hold great resemblance to dinosaurs. There are pictures of dragons on old buildings that look like dinosaurs.

And there are records of dragons in the Bible, including a whole chapter on a beast that sounds a lot like a dinosaur. Behemoth.

Look now Behemoth, which I made along with you; he eats grass like an ox. See now, his strength is in his hips, and his power is in his stomach muscles. He moves his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit. His bones are like bars of  bronze, his ribs are like  beams of iron. He is the first of the ways of God.

– Job 40:15-19

Bible scholars have had great trouble with this “behemoth”. Most put it down as an elephant or a hippo. But neither has a tail like a cedar tree. But what about a sauropod dinosaur, like a Diplodocus . They have huge tails – like a cedar tree!!

How did Dinosaurs fit into the Ark?

Another objection to the Bible and dinosaurs is, ” How did dinosaurs fit on the ark?” The two objections they give are,

  • Size – dinosaurs were huge! How did they fit on the Ark?
  • Amount-there are over 668 species of dinosaur! How did so many species fit inside the Ark.

However both these objections are easily  solved.

  1. Only around 50 dinosaur “kinds”.

While there are over 600 dinosaur species, Noah didn’t have to take all the species on board. God told Noah to take one of every KIND on board. In example, take the kind “dog”. While there are many different dog species, there is only one dog kind, called…. dog! Even the domestic dog, one species, has so much variation in it. Likewise, the Sauropod dinosaurs would have been one species, likewise with the T’rex, and others. Thus Noah only needed to take about 55 kinds. For more information on kinds go to www.answersingenesis.org/go/kinds

2.    The Ark was HUGE!

According to Genesis 6:14-16, the Ark was huge, nothing like the ‘bathtub ark’ that we see in children’s storybook pictures . However, even taking into account the huge size of the Ark, only small dinosaurs would have gone on the Ark. Because even the largest dinosaurs, when new-born, were not much bigger than a rugby ball. This makes sense as God would have wanted younger dinosaurs on-board to repopulate the earth after the flood. For more information on the Ark go to www.answersingenesis.org/go/ark

Dinosaurs are NOT millions of years old.

Believe it or not, they have found red blood cells in dinosaur bone!! Mary Schweitzer discovered red blood cells in a T’rex bone. This has recently been confirmed by numerous other finds. Red blood cells can’t survive millions of years!! Of course, evolutionists have tried to make get out clauses for this problem, but nothing has solved this problem at all

In the beginning….

God tells us in His Word that He created the earth in six days. And on day six he made land animals. Dinosaurs are land animals. Therefore, it is logical to say that God created dinosaurs on day six. A majority of  the fossils fit with being laid down in a worldwide Flood. Therefore most of the dinosaur fossils we find were laid down in the flood. There are no problems with dinosaurs and the Bible. There is no reason to compromise God’s Word with man’s ideas!

The Sun – Shining God’s Glory.

Every day we get up, travel, go to work, and meet friends, all in the presence of the huge shining ball we call the sun. Yet we rarely stop to consider how much impact the sun actually has on our lives. Just to impress you, let me give you a few ‘sun facts’.

  •   The sun can reach temperatures up to 10,000 degrees Celsius!
  •   Over 1,000,000 earths would fit inside the sun!
  •   The sun is over 92,935,700 miles away from the earth!
  •   Solar flares burst millions of miles from the sun’s surface!
  •   The sun emits more energy in one second than mankind has produced during the history of the earth!

Wow!! Our sun is essential for life on earth. Plants, through a process known as photosynthesis, harvest light from the sun, and turn it into a sugar that the plant uses to grow. Waste gasses are emitted that we breathe in, oxygen! Also without the sun, we couldn’t see. While this seems obvious, sunlight contains all the colours that we see. When light hits an object, say, blue, all colour apart from blue, are absorbed, and blue is reflected into our eyes which we see!

But even though the sun is so important to life here today, it is only temporary. When the Lord returns and transforms the world back to perfection, God will be our light for us in the day and night. Isaiah 60: 19 says, “No longer will you have the sun for light by day… But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And God for your glory.”

What an awesome Creator we serve!!      sunset
